About the University
Mordovian State University named after N. P. Ogarev is a classical university of Russia, which traces its history back to October 1, 1931. Over 93 years, the university has become a major center of higher education, science, and youth policy in Russia. The university implements 352 educational programs of higher (bachelor's, specialty, master's) and secondary vocational education: natural science, engineering, and humanities profiles. The university includes 13 institutes, 4 faculties, and 2 branches. The share of teachers with academic degrees and titles is 83%. The university has 102 departments, 47 of which are headed by professors and doctors of sciences.

Main building
The main building is an important landmark of the city and the highest building in its center. It is not only an architectural symbol, but also the heart of the university.
The rector of the university works in the main building, key administrative units and faculties are located there.
Student town
The student campus includes 18 dormitories designed to accommodate 5,500 people. In the buildings, which are located near the university's academic campuses, double and triple rooms with furniture, showers, kitchens, laundry rooms, relaxation areas, and a gym are available.
Palace of Culture and Arts
The Palace of Culture and Arts is a modern building with a concert hall for 570 seats. Here we are waiting for you at the festival of national cultures "Ogarevsky Colorit," at the School for Gifted Students, competitions for first-year students, and Miss University.
Ogarev Arena
"Ogaryov Arena" is a hall with 8,106 seats that is transforming into an ice arena, a sports and concert venue. Here you can skate, visit the museum, the gym and fitness halls, as well as engage in Greco-Roman wrestling in the new hall, under the guidance of World Champion Alexei Surkov.

In the center of Indian culture, students conduct joint yoga classes, master classes on tying saris, drawing with henna, and an English conversation club operates. The center organizes festivals of Indian culture "Diwali," "Oman," and "Vishu."
Russian-Chinese Center
In the Russian-Chinese center, traditional tea ceremonies and master classes "Fundamentals of Chinese Calligraphy" are held. Events dedicated to celebrating significant events of the People's Republic of China are also organized.
