About the University
Ural Federal University (UrFU) is one of the leading and largest universities in Russia, founded in 1920. UrFU is a universal university that offers programs in engineering, humanities, and natural sciences in Russian and English at all levels of study (bachelor's, master's, postgraduate, postdoctoral programs). In the QS World University Rankings, UrFU ranks 519th in the world, and in the ARWU ranking, it is in the top 4-6 in Russia. UrFU is located in the beautiful and safe city of Yekaterinburg, the third capital of Russia, in the heart of the country. UrFU has 17 student dormitories in the city center with more than 12,000 places. Most of the dormitories are located within walking distance from the educational buildings. The dormitories have all the necessary conditions for comfortable living: kitchens, showers, laundry rooms, classrooms, gyms, cafes.
Chemical and Pharmaceutical Center
The Scientific, Educational, and Innovation Center provides unique fundamental and applied education in the fields of chemistry, chemical technology, biotechnology, and related fields. The Center participates in the commercialization of high-tech products developed on its site.
